The pros of this solution are that the vehicle uses treads that have a greater surface area that the wheels do so it will be easier for the vehicle to travel over sand.
The cons of this solution are that the vehicle will only be able to travel in a straight line in the direction that we original point it. Since both the treads will be moving at the same speed it won’t be able to turn. This can be a problem when we are in dunes and we need to turn.
Ultimately, this solution has its pros and cons. It has the treads to travel over the sand but it won’t be able to turn.
