This solution has its pros and cons like any other solution for the power systems of the vehicle. In this solution where the vehicle will use wheels as traction and there will be one motor connected to the rear wheels’ axel and another motor to power the steering system for the front two wheels. The wiring is the same for both of the vehicles since both solutions will be using two motors and the same necessary accessories to complete the mission. The robotic kit comes with the microcontroller that connects to the battery and that all the wires from the motors, camera, and claw plug into.
The pros of this design are that it will be easier to control than alternate solution #1. This is because the vehicle won’t list to one side or the other because the rear wheels are moving at the same speed because they are connected to the same axel. Also the steering will make the vehicle easier to turn while it is on the move, compared to the solution with the treads.
The cons of this solution are that the tires might sink to the sand once they start spinning. Since the vehicle can only be two wheel drive, this makes it worse for traveling on sand. Also the robot might move a lot slower since there is only one motor to propel the whole vehicle forward. Lastly, the steering mechanism is complicated and hard to build.
Ultimately, this solution has its pros and cons. One of the pros is that it will be easier to control. Some of the cons are that the vehicle might sink into the sand, it’s hard to build the steering system, and that one motor might not be enough to move the whole vehicle across this terrain.
Is this solution useful?
I believe solution will work very well and will function as promised. This solution satisfies all of our needs and also satisfies an appropriate level of performance.
Is this solution usable?
All these solutions use the same ergonomically friendly controller that anyone can pick up and use easily. This solution can be used in good weather conditions when the battery is fully charged.
Is this solution producible?
I think this solution is very producible if it has to be manufactured. It would be very producible because all the pieces are already mass produced in factories and they are easily assembled.
Is this solution profitable?
I think that this solution is profitable because all sorts of people can use this vehicle to either have fun or scientists can use this for research. Since, it is open to a wide range of people the product will be very profitable.
