For this project we will be designing and building a vehicle that will travel across the dunes and retrieve a plant sample for examination and not damage the dunes. Dune erosion is a huge problem along the coast. Not only do they provide habitats for many species of animals but they also serve as a last line of defense for a town when the ocean level rises during a storm. Since the vehicle will be light, it will not damage the dune as it travels over it to retrieve the plant sample, so the dune will be virtually unaffected.
